During your visit, the interventional cardiologist will perform a physical exam, review your medical history, and recommend diagnostic tests or procedures as needed. They will then discuss your diagnosis and treatment options with you.
Interventional cardiologists have additional training in performing minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat heart conditions.
You should see an interventional cardiologist if you have symptoms of a heart condition such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or fatigue, or if you have been diagnosed with a heart condition that requires treatment.
You should bring a list of your symptoms, medications, and medical history to your visit. You may also need to fast before certain diagnostic tests or procedures. We will provide you with specific instructions upon an initial consultation with us if you require further investigations.
