About Me

Dr Khan grew up in Pakistan and studied medicine at the University of Karachi. After graduating in year 2000, he completed his residency at Aga khan University Hospital. Dr Khan completed his specialist Cardiology training in 2012, gaining his FRACP accreditation from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. 

In 2013, he completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from Canberra hospital. Subsequently in 2014, Dr khan completed a second year fellowship in Interventional cardiology at the Fremantle hospital.

His special interest is in Ischaemic heart disease, Hypertension, Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation. His philosophy is one of constant refinement and excellence in all aspects of a patient’s cardiovascular care, including assessment and management, coronary intervention, cardiac rehabilitation, and maintaining and applying the most up-to-date knowledge of current developments and technology.

Dr Khan is a member of several societies of cardiology, and frequently travels both locally and internationally to keep abreast of new developments and techniques in Interventional cardiology that might benefit his patients. He has a particular focus on using FFR guided PCI. Dr Khan currently works as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Heart of Canberra, Deakin and Batemans Bay Medical Centre, Batemans Bay NSW
